Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The DKI Jakarta Health Service (Dinkes) ensures that all health facilities from community health centers to Regional General Hospitals (RSUD) are ready to serve and treat patients with cases of monkey pox (monkeypox).
“Everything is ready to handle monkey pox cases and it’s free,” said Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Service Ani Ruspitawati when confirmed, Saturday (4/11/2023).
Ani said that there are 31 hospitals belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government that are ready to treat and isolate monkey pox patients. Meanwhile, early detection of monkey pox cases is carried out through community health centers spread throughout Jakarta.
People who are required to undergo self-isolation, said Ani, are people with suspected cases of monkey pox, or people who have symptoms. If the condition of the person’s home does not allow for isolation, they will be directed to a hospital provided by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
“If there are symptoms we request isolation, if the house does not allow isolation we provide a hospital,” he explained. Reporting from Between.
Ani explained that the isolation of monkey pox patients in the hospital continues until the rash that appears on the person’s skin has dried and is certain to not appear again. Usually, this period starts when they have been isolated for three weeks.
Apart from that, Ani explained that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government continues to intensify contact tracing in order to break the chain of transmission of monkey pox cases.
