JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A total of 25 monkey pox patients or monkeypox in Jakarta he was declared cured and had finished undergoing isolation at home.
“25 out of 42 cases monkeypox “DKI Jakarta has recovered and finished isolation,” said Head of the Epidemiology and Immunization Surveillance Section of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Ngabila Salama, when confirmed, Wednesday (22/11/2023).
Meanwhile, 17 other patients, said Ngabila, are still undergoing isolation in hospital. The patients were reported to be in good health and had mild symptoms.

“All have mild symptoms. They were infected from sexual contact,” said Ngabila.
Ngabila ensured that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) would handle the patients as best as possible until they were declared cured.
He also appealed to patients who were infected monkeypox to not feel excluded.
“Don’t feel stigmatized. The government really is care and pay attention to everything as best as possible. Ensure everything is handled well. So the government is here,” he concluded.

Previously, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono ordered the Health Service to form a special team to track the transmission of cases monkey pox.
This step is taken so that patients who are infected monkey pox can be immediately identified and treated medically.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is also coordinating with the Indonesian Ministry of Health to carry out related vaccinations monkeypox limited to positive patients and at-risk groups.
