On November 24, Krafton Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Chang-han) held the second day of the Last Chance match of the ‘2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (2024 PMGC)’, the top international e-sports competition of ‘Battleground Mobile’. proceeded.

‘2024 PMGC’ is a competition in which a total of 48 teams, among numerous ‘Battleground Mobile’ teams from around the world, competed against each other after going through fierce national and regional competitions over the past year. The total prize money is $3 million (approximately 4.14 billion won), and the competition consists of a league and grand final.

The league was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from October 31 to November 24 in the following order: group stage, survival stage, and last chance.

The 48 teams that participated in the group stage were divided into 3 groups (yellow, red, and green) with 16 teams each, and each group played 24 matches over 4 days. The top three teams in each group (9 teams in total) advanced directly to the grand finals, and the bottom 5 teams in each group (15 teams in total) were immediately eliminated. And 8 more teams were eliminated through the survival stage.

As a result of the 16 teams that survived the survival stage participating in the second day of Last Chance, Team Falcons (FLCN) ranked first with 141 points. Insilio (INS) took 2nd place (2nd Chicken) with 97 points, Boin Donkey ID (VD) took 3rd place (1st Chicken) with 97 points, Vicious Latam (VC) took 4th place with 89 points, and Korea’s D Plus Kia (DK) ranked 5th with 82 points, and Regnum Caria & Bra Esports (RCB) ranked 6th with 78 points. These six teams will advance to the grand finals and compete for the championship trophy.

On the other hand, another Korean team, Mirae N Sejong (MSJ), was unfortunately eliminated after ranking 14th in the Last Chance event. Accordingly, two Korean teams, including DRX, who advanced directly from the group stage to the grand finals, advanced to the grand finals.
