Dplus Kia (hereinafter referred to as DK) was defeated by a set score of 1 to 2 in the first round match against KT Rolster in the ‘2023 LoL Champions Korea (LCK)’ Spring Split held at Roll Park in Jongno, Seoul on the 9th at 5:00 pm. DK recorded the 3rd loss (4th win) of the season. They have lost 3 of their last 5 matches.
Director Choi Cheon-joo, who leads DK, said, “There are many things that we regret in ban-pick and in-game,” adding, “We know where we are lacking. I will make up for it well and participate in the Hanwha Life Esports event.”
Below is a Q&A between director Choi and Heo Soo of “Showmaker”.
Please review the game
Cheonju Choi: The first set worked out as planned, but it’s a pity that we lost with the strategy we prepared for the second set. Every time we lose, if the plans set at the beginning get tangled up, there will be images that can’t be quickly restored, so I think we need to make up for that part a bit. There are many things I miss. Ban-pick or in-game play.
Heo Soo: Unfortunately, we lost the 2nd and 3rd sets. I think it was a bit of a disappointing game.
The starting point of the T1 game is shaking. 3 losses in 5 matches, did it have an impact?
Choi Chun-joo: Losing against T1 continued, so I lost the recent game, and I think this kind of thing doesn’t really make sense. I think it’s a big thing that I lost whenever it was important as the things I had to set the direction and prepare for on the red side unfortunately led to defeat. I think it had an impact, if any.
What I want to say
Cheonju Choi: Our head hurts right now because we lost today, but we know where we fell short. I feel apologetic to those who support me for the poor results of the recent match. Still, I will show you how to win against Hanwha Life Insurance.
Heo Soo: A lot of people cheered for us, but I’m sorry, and I’ll prepare well for the next game so that I can grow.
