Djurgården is working on recruiting double Finnish this winter.
According to Sportbladet’s information, final negotiations are underway with HJK Helsinki’s Finnish centre-back Miro Tenho – and everything points to him being presented within the next few weeks.
At the same time, Matti Peltola is not written off yet – despite the fact that he has interest from foreign clubs.
Sportbladet was able to reveal a few weeks ago that Djurgården was working on signing Matti Peltola from HJK Helsingfors. The Blue Stripes then made a first contact regarding a recruitment attempt, but where the player also had a couple of other offers from foreign clubs to decide on. But nothing has been written off regarding Djurgården and Peltola, even if nothing is close at the moment. Peltola would first and foremost be seen as a midfielder at Djurgården.
At the same time, the club has also offered HJK’s team captain Miro Tenho a contract proposal and they hope to finalize the player in the near future. Everything also suggests that it will be so, as the parties are very close to each other.
Hope to finish with Tenho
It has rumored on social media that the player should already be ready, but so far nothing is ready or signed, although Djurgården is still going hard for Tenho, and hopes to present him within the next few weeks.
The 28-year-old is seen as a character player who would lift the team both on and off the field, and final negotiations are underway.
From before, everything points to Albin Ekdal also being found in Djurgården in 2024, when the club wants to include the midfielder in the team building and the player must be positive about a move to Stockholm and Djurgården in particular.
Tenho has made three international A matches for Finland and was in the national team as recently as the end of November when he sat on the bench for the entire victory match against San Marino.
