Serbian Novak Djokovic equaled the number of former tennis player Andre Agassi, achieving his 26th consecutive victory at the Australian Open tennis championship on Wednesday, to advance to the semi-finals.
The nine-time tournament winner presented an amazing performance to defeat Russian Andrei Rublev, the fifth seed in the tournament, 6/1, 6/2, 6/4, to set a date with American Tommy Ball in the semi-finals.
And the British news agency “BA Media” reported that Djokovic had not lost at Melbourne Park since 2018 – as part of 39 consecutive victories in Australia – and currently equaled the series of victories achieved by Agassi in the period from 2000 and 2004.
