Novak Djokovic has won so many tennis tournaments that for many he is already considered, above Roger Federer, as the best tennis player of all time. The Serbian player has in his hands 20 Grand Slam trophies, which are the most important tournaments in the tennis universe. However, Novak Djokovic has decided to miss all tournaments, including the Grand Slams, if he is forced to be vaccinated against covid. Says Djokovic: «I have never been against vaccination, but I have always supported the freedom to choose what you put in your body».
The Serbian says it as if he were the only one of his race on this planet, as if the rest didn’t matter to him. And it is that he does not understand that, until now, the vaccination strategy around the world has considerably reduced the contagion and, above all, the death of people who get sick with covid.
The Pan American Health Organization already replied to Djokovic: «It’s a shame that a person who has access to all the information makes a decision like that. The vaccine, in addition to being an individual protection, is also a collective agreement». It is sad to see that a subject with so many honors, with so many triumphs, allows himself to be defeated by his own stupidity.
