Djokovic has become Khachanov’s opponent for reaching the semi-finals of Roland Garros

World No. 3 Novak Djokovic has reached the quarterfinals of Roland Garros in Paris.
In the 1/8 finals, the Serbian defeated the Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas with a score of 6:3, 6:2, 6:2.
Djokovic’s next opponent will be world number 11 Russian Karen Khachanov. Khachanov won only one match out of nine against Djokovic during his career – at the Masters tournament in Paris in 2018.
Khachanov reached the quarterfinals at the third Grand Slam in a row
In a parallel match, Russian Elina Avanesyan lost 4:6, 3:6 to Czech Karolina Muchova, who advanced to the quarterfinal against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
Roland Garros is the second Grand Slam clay tournament of the season. The prize fund of the tournament is almost €50 million.
Djokovic won the tournament twice, in 2016 and 2021.
