BELEHRAD – Novak Djokovic won his 22nd Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January and had to travel a long way. A year ago, he was expelled from Australia and this year’s trip was marked by a hamstring injury, which significantly limited him.

The Serbian giant is constantly struggling with the hostility of the envious, who question his injuries, attitude, opinions on various sensitive social topics, his reputation is not even enhanced by the personal attitudes of Srdjan Djoković’s father. Djokovic’s journey in 2023 does not yet have a single competitive loss and two winning tournaments and the same number of lost sets.

However, the doubts should definitely be put to rest, because Novak is preparing a press conference where he will comment on everything that the tennis world has doubts about. He told Jelena Medicová from Sportportal.

Thousands of naysayers accused him of “faking” his hamstring injury. “I can’t tell you anything, sorry. I’ve decided to have a press conference and answer all the questions there. I’ve already planned everything with my PR team, the invitations will come in a few days” said Novak regarding the upcoming press conference.

Journalists from different corners of the world will undoubtedly put him to the test, but he has nothing to fear. Even the results of medical examinations showed that he was really injured in Australia. “I was wondering if I should publish anything about my injury. I said I want to. I’ll go into more detail, post some photos on social media about everything I’ve been through. Some of the comments bother me. In a few days, everything you will find out,” added the Belgrader.

Even his colleague from the Tour Gilles Simon said that Djokovic is irritated by the approach and hassles of prominent persons and many media, speculating about his injury, which he suffered during the Australian Open. According to Simon, Novak is “fed up” with constant doubts and unnecessary questions.

Will the haters wring their hands and make up stories even after the press conference, or will Novak sweep away all assumptions with a wave of his hand?
