“I will be joining Novak’s team, helping him prepare for the Australian Open. I’m really excited and looking forward to spending time on the same side of the net for once, helping him achieve his goals,” replied the Scotsman who a few months ago announced his retirement as a player by playing his last match at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Djokovic won the Olympic gold in Paris 2024 last August (the only major trophy missing from his incredible list), but then he went out in the third round in New York at the hands of the Australian Popyrin and lost the Masters final Shanghai 1000 with Jannik Sinner. Then he gave up on the ATP Finals in Turin for which he was qualified and reigning double champion. And he ended the year at No. 7 in the rankings.
