The National Police is conducting an examination of the Head of the National Police Bareskrim PPNS Coordination and Supervision Brig. Gen. Prasetyo Utomo who made a letter of conviction for convicted Djoko Tjandra. The National Police stated that the letter was made by Prasetyo himself.
“Regarding the Djoko Tandra road letter, the road letter was signed by one of the bureaus at the Criminal Investigation Police. So, in the granting or making of the road letter, that the kabiro was an initiative of its own,” said the Police Public Relations Kadiv Inspector General Argo Yuwono.
This was stated at a press conference at the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday (07/15/2020). Argo said Prasetyo made the letter without permission from his superiors.
“Not with the leadership’s permission,” Argo said.
Until now, Prasetyo is still undergoing examinations at Propam. In the afternoon the results of the examination will be concluded.
“If proven guilty, will be removed!” said Argo.
Previously reported, the road letter was issued by the Criminal Investigation Police through the PPNS Coordinating and Oversight Bureau with Number: SJ / 82 / VI / 2020 / Rokorwas, dated June 18, 2020, which was signed by the Head of the Police Criminal Investigation and Security PPNS, Brig. Gen. Prasetyo Utomo.
Kabareskrim Komjen Listyo Sigit immediately formed a special joint team from the Criminal Investigation Police and Propam to investigate this travel document.
