DJI is perhaps best known to the common man for its drones, but it is also known for its gimbals. That is, portable “stands” that stabilize the image when shooting and move with the camera. Their latest addition to their gimbal family is the new RS 3 Mini, which is a significantly smaller variant for those who need a gimbal that is easy to take on the go or takes up less space in their bag.

In the basic version, the RS 3 Mini weighs 795 g, when filming horizontally, an additional plate is required, which increases the weight to 850 grams. If you want to mount an extra grip/table stand, it adds another 130g to the total weight. The new gimbal can carry up to two kilograms, which is one kilogram lighter than the standard RS 3, but still fits many popular camera and lens combinations within two kilograms.
The DJI RS 3 Mini has a small touch display through which the necessary settings are managed, there is also a bluetooth connection to the camera, which allows you to start recording with the controls on the handle and zoom via an input wheel. A digital zoom is then used, or if the lens has a power zoom, it is controlled. The input wheel can also be used to adjust focus. The stabilization technology is the same as RS 3 Pro.
The built-in battery should handle ten hours of shooting on one charge. The price ends at around SEK 4,590.
