In short, the DJI Mavic 3 Classic is a simpler version of the Mavic 3, only without the telephoto lens. It has the same 20 Mp 4/3 CMOS image chip we know from the Mavic 3 test and is available in similar equipment versions.
It is also the first drone to have the new C1 certificate, which allows the drone to be used in the new A1 Open Category, according to the new European drone regulations. You must therefore have an A1 certificate to fly the Mavic 3 Classic.
The Classic can be used with existing DJI RC Pro, DJI RC and DJI RC-N1 hand controllers and can fly for 43 minutes on a single battery charge.
The camera can record video in 5.1K / 50fps, 4K / 60fps or 1080p / 60fps quality with H.264 or H.265 codec, in 10-bit D-Log. It can also record in slow motion in 4K / 120fps or 1080p / 200fps, and you can shoot 20 megapixel stills and save them as 12-bit RAW files.
The Classic version has the same security features as the rest of the Mavic 3 series, with eight visual sensors that avoid obstacles and all video transmission is encrypted.
The Mavic 3 Classic is sold as a drone for NOK 16,499 only, but also with a charger and DJI RC-N1 controller for NOK 17,499, and with the most advanced RC controller with integrated screen, for NOK 18,999.
