The Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Energy, Mahamat Hamid Koua, announced Friday that for reasons of overproduction, the Djarmaya refinery will temporarily suspend production activities from Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
“This temporary suspension is a necessity in order to reduce the quantity of petroleum products in excess of the planned storage”, says the Minister.
Mahamat Hamid Koua ensures that this shutdown of production will not impact the supply of petroleum products to the refinery.
“The usual markers will proceed to the removal of the products as usual”, adds the Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Energy, Mahamat Hamid Koua.
Chad Downstream Regulatory Authority Invited “to follow the distribution closely so that the products are available at all times, but also to avoid any inconvenience.”
