Next year, the Sulzbach-Rosenberg cultural workshop will once again bring the well-known four-person Bavarian folk-rock band Django 3000 to the stage. The Chiemgauer Desperados invite you to a special concert on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 8 p.m. in the Historische Druckerei Seidel in Sulzbach-Rosenberg.
With hair-raising anecdotes from the life of a Bavarian gypsy band and plenty of rhythm in their veins, the Django 3000 Caravan comes in an intimate atmosphere without any amplifiers – but with a burning gypsy passion right up close to the audience. “Django 3000 Unplugged” is a concert highlight that is as intimate as it is thrilling, with no safety net or double bottom.
The trio from Chiemgau in Upper Bavaria named themselves after the jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and his “gypsy swing” – a reference to their own musical style with violin, acoustic guitar and double bass. In 2011 they uploaded a video of their song “Heidi” to the internet platform YouTube and caused a great stir. They got a record deal with Seven Days Music and released their debut album in March 2012 under the band name Django 3000, which successfully placed their Bavarian “Balkan beat” in the German album charts.
Since its formation, the band has played around 100 concerts a year in German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Italy). In addition, the band regularly tours – for example to Hungary (2012), Denmark (2013), Russia (2014), Finland (2015), South Korea (2015) and India (2016).
Tickets are available in advance from NT Ticket, on the ticket hotline 0961/85-550 or 09621/306-230 as well as in all Oberpfalz-Medien offices and the NT-Ticket advance booking offices.
