DJ Tiësto and his wife Annika Backes are going to raise their unborn daughter bilingually. The artist said that in an interview on Wednesday SLAM!.

Tiësto, who is actually called Tijs Verwest, lives with Backes in the United States. He told the radio station that he wants his daughter to feel a connection with the Netherlands.

“I really hope that she will have a special interest in Dutch culture. I am also a very Dutch boy who happens to live in America,” said the Dutch DJ.

In early 2015, Verwest met the American model Backes. In 2019 they got married in the middle of the desert of the US state of Utah. In May of this year, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child.
