How did you prepare for the reception of Grenoble this Sunday, after the winning but disappointing performance in Nîmes (0-4)?
I chose to schedule a preparation match last week against Metz, a great team from Group A and we played an interesting opposition which allowed us to rotate the squad. With a slightly different group, we developed our defensive and offensive animation, we created goalscoring opportunities, we scored and we didn’t concede.
Did the content satisfy you more during this victory against Metz (5-0)?
Yes, and beyond the result, we also regained our confidence and reassured ourselves in the game because our last match (Nîmes 0-4 ASSE) was below what we are capable of doing. The three players recruited in the transfer window have played but they still have to do more to earn their place in this group which has been running well since the start of the season. What I like is that thanks to their arrival and the additional competition they have created, the whole group is pulled up and that’s what interests me: the collective performance. My speech has been the same since the start of the season: regardless of age, status, course, what motivates my choice is the performance at the moment T.
Je m’attends à une équipe qui va jouer bloc médian pour nous attendre et nous contrer.
Do you have any absences to deplore before the arrival of Grenoble this Sunday (2:30 p.m.)?
We are lucky not to have sores, so this weekend, I will only have sporting choices to make and I should surely send 6 players from group D2 to play in reserve. I am happy to be able to count on Peyton DePriest again. She scored against Nîmes and Metz and she continued what she showed against Lyon. She is in good spirits because the group also puts her in good conditions. This is due to the fact that it is perfectly integrated. I feel that it will give us an interesting end to the season.
After the very closed opposition proposed by Grenoble in the first leg, what match do you expect against the Iséroises?
After 14 matches played, Grenoble is 4 points behind the first non-relegation player. This is a team that must surely feel obliged to achieve a result. I expect a team that will play mid block to wait for us and counter us. I think Grenoble will play higher this time, without revealing themselves too much. But, anyway, on our side, we will try to break the lock, as we have done in every game since the start of the season. We have to take inspiration from what we did against Metz last week and also from the very interesting internal opposition we had in the middle of the week. If we could finish the season crescendo, that would be very good.
