Divina Seguros will begin its activity in Chile in February with the commercialization of personal insurance

MADRID, 10 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Divina Seguros will begin operations in Chile in February, where it will offer different services through the name Divina Pastora Seguros de Vida, within the framework of its international expansion strategy, the company said in a statement.

Specifically, the insurer will market five types of products. These are indemnity insurance for hospitalization, dental insurance, death, life and personal accident.

The announcement of its arrival in Chile comes after last June 2020 the Financial Market Commission authorized the existence of Divina Seguros, the first necessary step to be able to operate in the country. The process concludes this February, with the definitive authorization by the regulatory body to proceed to commercialize insurance in the Andean country.

The objective of Divina Seguros in Chile, as it did in Argentina six years ago, is to offer insurance solutions for all types of families, focusing mainly on middle-class families, with little access to insurance products so far.

“Within our company’s expansion strategy, we are replicating our insurance model in Latin America to offer coverage to families with more adjusted economies,” said the entity’s executive president, Armando Nieto.

Nieto affirmed that the company’s objective is that “any Chilean family can access insurance that can protect them in critical situations that arise in life.” “That is the essence of the insurance business, offering solutions for difficult times, and anyone has to be able to access it,” Nieto added.
