Diversity awards for Splinter Chabot and NOS podcast

De Winq Culture Award went to Splinter Chabot, who according to the jury with his debut novel Confettiregen “touched and inspired thousands of people”.

De Winq Ally Award was for Bij1 party leader Sylvana Simons, who says of herself: “The rights of queer people are human rights. As a politician I therefore include the queer community in every consideration I make.”

The Winq Media Award went to journalists Winfried Baijens, Rivkah op het Veld and Jeroen Gortworst. They are the makers of the NOS podcast The Shadow Strike and investigated why the Netherlands still does not have a single openly gay active professional football player.

De Winq Inspiration Award was for actor Thorn de Vries and Mandy Woelkens, presenter and editor-in-chief of LINDA.girls† They received the prize for their book FAQ Genderwhere they answer frequently asked questions about gender and for their popular podcast CoupleGoalsin which they talk to loved ones about their relationship
