The one meter long blade was found by diver Shlomi Katzin in the shallow waters of Haifa, in a report published on Tuesday (19/10/2021).
It is thought that the sword, which is now heavily inlaid with marine organisms, reappeared after a shift in the sand.

The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) said after it was cleaned and analyzed, the sword would be put on public display.
