Disturbances in various cities, emergency orders in effect

In several cities in the country it is again restless on the streets. Reports of vandalism and fireworks nuisance are received from Enschede, Groningen and Tilburg, among others. Tilburg

In Tilburg, dozens of young people gathered in a park to set off fireworks. They also destroyed several trash cans. A police spokesman tells Broadcasting Brabant that it is not clear how many young people are involved. “I hear noises from between thirty and a hundred people. The truth will be somewhere in the middle.” As far as is known, no arrests have been made in Tilburg.

The police and the riot police are also present in Roosendaal en masse to prevent fireworks nuisance. Several arrests have also been made here, Omroep Brabant reports.

An emergency ordinance also applies in Stein and Roermond. These municipalities carry out preventive searches. The emergency ordinance was announced in those municipalities after last night’s riots. At least five people have been arrested there because they were in possession of narcotics.
