Disturbances around Wembley stadium for the European Championship final

Several bystander videos show the stewards being overrun by dozens of fans, who have broken through the gates and are trying to run to the stadium.

According to the stadium management, the incidents were limited to the outer barriers and due to quick intervention no fans entered without a ticket.

England-Italy

The final of the European Championship between England and Italy will start at 9 p.m. in the stadium. For the English, it is the first final of a final that they have played since 1966. Then the English became world champions, also in their own Wembley stadium.

The European Championship final can be attended by 60,000 spectators in the stadium. Many Britons may still hang around near the stadium to take in some of the exuberant atmosphere.
