District office not surprised by complaining Müllheim landlord – Müllheim

A bar owner in Müllheim is taking action against curfew. “All of this is not surprising. It is part of the normal procedure in our constitutional state,” says the district office.

Two bar owners from Müllheim and Freiburg are currently taking legal action against the curfew at 11 p.m. ordered by the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district office for the catering trade. The District Office has meanwhile been asked by the Freiburg Administrative Court to take a position. “All of this is not surprising. It is part of the normal procedure in our constitutional state to appeal. A judicial decision ultimately leads to legal certainty,” says press spokesman Matthias Fetterer, when asked about the actions of the bar operators.

The operator of Beat Bar Butzemann from Freiburg went one step further on Friday. His lawyer has reported to the Federal Constitutional Court with the aim of allowing the bar to open again this weekend. The Müllheim bar operator Jan Happle did not want to take this step, as he told the BZ. He waits until the decision of the Freiburg administrative court has been made. This should fall at the beginning of the week.

Since Thursday, restaurateurs in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district have had to close between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. “Curfew and alcohol bans are now important in order to further reduce people’s contact options and thus lower the risk of infection,” said District Administrator Dorothea Störr-Ritter when the new requirements were announced.
