District Administrator Dr. Heiko Blume expressly points out that this short-term approach has not been coordinated with the district. Rather, the Helios-Klinikum should, in consultation with the district, issue an admission freeze after the supply of the population has been ensured.

Immediately after the notification from the Helios clinic, the district of Uelzen contacted other clinics and hospitals in order to coordinate the further course of action or to clarify the consequences of the notification from the Helios clinic. Emergency care is provided by the clinic. Non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries are taken to the surrounding hospitals in consultation with the emergency services.
