Every year, during Advent, post offices around the world receive hundreds of thousands of letters with a very special address. All letters are intended for the Christkind at the Himmelspforte at the North Pole and contain Christmas greetings from their senders. Every year, the district council also grants Christmas greetings from the people living in the Philipp-Jäger residential complex in Dietzenbach. Action is now a good, old tradition. The same goes for the festively decorated tree in the lobby of the precinct building. The Nordmann fir thus becomes a wish tree. The tree has just been cut down in the city forest of Seligenstadt. This year’s wish list also recently arrived at the town hall. This time there are only good ones.
“When our Christmas tree is put up and greetings come from the Philipp-Jäger residential complex”, says district administrator Oliver Quilling happily, “it is always a very special time of the year for me, because it is the beginning of the pre-Christmas period. Furthermore, the campaign takes up the original idea of Christmas, which is to make others happy and help each other. Often it doesn’t take much. With the wish tree campaign, for example, we use relatively modest means to fulfill the wish ‘one or the other sincere wish of a person who is struggling with a considerable handicap.” under the festively colored Christmas tree at the Philipp-Jäger housing estate.
