Rain and too much speed: On Monday, three drivers found out that this is not a good combination on the A7 between Dettingen and Illertissen.
Three accidents happened on Monday evening on the Autobahn A7 between Dettingen an der Iller and Illnesses happened. The reason: aquaplaning. Drivers accelerated too much when it was raining.
It crashed for the first time at midday near Dettingen in the direction of travel Wuerzburg. According to the highway police memmingen A 62-year-old man skidded in the fast lane and collided with another car traveling in the right lane. The third aquaplaning accident occurred in the evening near Illertissen in the direction of Würzburg. There, too, a 57-year-old lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the right-hand guardrail. The man was unharmed. The damage to the car amounts to around 15,000 euros. In all three cases, fine proceedings were initiated against the person responsible for causing the accident. (THE)
