Streams and rivers have burst their banks in parts of the Main-Spessart district. The reason is the persistent rain of the last few days. However, a severe flood situation is not to be expected.
The Sinn exceeded warning level 2 at the level in Mittelsinn during the course of Sunday. In the evening (as of 5:45 p.m.) the level was 3.50 meters. That’s a good meter higher than normal. However, this does not have any major impact. In the course of the night on Monday, the level is expected to drop again, according to the forecast by the Bavarian flood intelligence service.
At Wolfsmünster, the Franconian Saale could probably reach reporting level 2 at 3.70 meters during the night on Monday. Here the level on Sunday evening (as of 5:45 p.m.) was 3.64 meters. If warning level 2 is reached, the first roads in the Gräfendorf area will be flooded.
On the Main, the rain has hardly any effect on the level. Although the river carries a lot of water, it is far from flooding.
