Today 29 new infections were reported to the health department. The 7-day incidence is 47.6 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.
There are currently 35 people from the district with Covid-19 infection in hospitals inside and outside the district. Four of these people receive intensive medical care, three of whom have to be ventilated.
In the meantime, the virus mutation N501Y has been detected in 134 positive test results since the end of January, of which the British variant has been proven to be in 83. These virus mutations are considered to be more contagious.
Another 52 people were released from quarantine. The number of active cases in the district is 216. The number of close contacts who are in quarantine is currently 164.
A total of 7,275 people from the district have been infected with SarsCoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 6,825 are considered to have recovered. 234 people have died in connection with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
