District of Kleve – District of Kleve issues a general decree with additional corona measures

19.03.2021

Daycare centers, schools and shops are not closed

District of Kleve – With a so-called “general decree”, the Kleve district is now ordering additional corona measures for the entire district area. This general decree does not provide for the closure of daycare centers, schools and shops. Rather, there are restrictions in private and public life. “From our point of view, these protective measures are suitable for curbing the diffuse, district-wide infection process,” says District Administrator Silke Gorißen. The general decree of March 18, 2021 has been coordinated with the mayors of the district and the NRW Ministry of Health. It is initially limited to April 19, 2021.

Contact restrictions in public spaces

The contact restrictions in public spaces are being tightened again. A household can meet a maximum of one person from another household – however, a maximum of five people in total can meet. Children up to and including 14 years of age are not counted. Couples are considered to be one household, regardless of their living conditions.

Mask requirement in vehicles

If people from different households use a vehicle, all occupants residing in the Kleve district – with the exception of the driver – must wear an FFP2 mask. Children under 16 years of age have to wear a so-called surgical mask, children under 14 years of age may have to wear an everyday mask. Medically justified exceptions remain.

Extracurricular educational offers

Lessons at music schools, art schools and private tutoring are only permitted for individual lessons.

Sport

A maximum of two people from different households or only people from one household can play sports on outdoor sports facilities. This applies to both adults and children. Outdoor equestrian sports are not affected by these restrictions.

Playgrounds, football fields and public youth sports facilities

Playgrounds can only be used until 6 p.m. If the contact restrictions on football pitches, public youth sports facilities and comparable facilities in a municipality in the district are not complied with or compliance with them cannot be adequately controlled, the local regulatory authority in charge pronounces entry ban all day or for certain times.

Easter fire

Meetings around Easter bonfires are prohibited.

Appeal from the district administrator

The district administrator appeals to all citizens in the district to limit personal contacts to a minimum and to observe the hygiene rules. “The increased infection rate affects us all. Everyone can help reduce the number of new corona cases. In view of the very contagious corona mutations, this is a community-wide task. “

Since the general decree of the Kleve district to order further corona protective measures of March 18, 2021 will be published in two daily newspapers on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, the regulations will come into force on March 24, 2021. The text of the general decree is available on the Kleve district website (here).
