The federal government is funding the digitization of schools in the Emmendingen district with 1.15 million euros. This corresponds to 50% of the total costs of the broadband connection project for the school. This was shared by Bundestag member Peter Weiß, who received the good news from the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.

“I am very happy about the further investments in broadband expansion at our schools. Especially in times like these, the possibility of digital teaching must be guaranteed at all times, ”says Weiß. “One of the few advantages of Corona is that we in Germany in general and in the education system in particular are experiencing a surge in digitization.” The MP hopes that the federal government’s funding of IT administrators for schools will soon accelerate the transformation. For this purpose, the administrative ordinance between the federal government and the state of Baden-Württemberg has already been completed.
