To make things happen as quickly as possible, the political groups had asked that the budget speeches should not be made but that they should be recorded. The expressed doubts about this procedure SPD: The 2020 budget was passed by circulation procedure. With a much higher 7-day incidence in the district than at that time, a face-to-face meeting is now taking place. That is not consistent.
The budget has a total volume of 137.8 million euros. Of this, the administrative budget comprises 115.5 million euros and the asset budget 22.3 million euros. It is particularly important to District Administrator Leo Schrell (FW) that the district levy is not increased and that investments can be continued.
In which school in the Dillingen district how much is invested
Then again, the focus is on education: One million is for secondary school Lauingen planned, two million for the Lauinger grammar school, 1.5 million for the Wertinger swimming pool, 2.6 million for the Sailer grammar school and 2.9 million for the vocational school Höchstädt. A further 1.1 million euros are to flow into the digitization and air purification of schools.
The finances of the two clinics in Dillingen and Wertingen are a cause for concern
Another huge item are the two hospitals in Dillingen and Wertingen. 5.1 million euros have been earmarked to compensate for the deficits there. Nevertheless, the municipal sponsorship should continue to exist, emphasized the district administrator. (Medical center tower in Wertingen: a project that divides the entire city) A local medical care, both outpatient and inpatient, is extremely important for the district. Schrell reminds of the CO2 savings in the district facilities and announces the continuation of the sun campaign, this time with the topic of the heat campaign. According to the district administrator, the budget reveals “very good figures” – despite the corona pandemic. It makes sense to hold on to the planned investments in order to make the district more sustainable. Even if it is unclear how Corona will have an impact on tax revenue and financial strength over the next few years.
The district CSU recommends external support for the restructuring of the hospitals
CSU parliamentary group chairman Johann Popp agrees with this – and raises another problem: as good as it is that the allocation power has increased by 7.31 percent this year, in return the district and hospital allocations increase and the key allocations decrease.
