District of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald: Vigorous investment in the maintenance of federal and state roads – Greens member of the state parliament Pix: “” Ministry of Transport clears the way for the rehabilitation of numerous roads in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald “

“The green government has been investing heavily in the maintenance of roads and bridges for years. We want to keep this line even in times of Corona, ”emphasizes Reinhold Pix, the Green.

Despite the Corona crisis, around 580 million euros are to be invested in 2020 in the maintenance and renovation of the road network in the southwest. The district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald also benefits from this, where the following roads are to be renovated.

– B 315: renewal of the road surface in Lenzkirch (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald)
– B 500: renewal of the road surface in Schluchsee (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald)
– B 31: renovation of the road surface in Hirschsprung-Falkensteig (Breisgau- Hochschwarzwald)
– L 112: Bridge renovation St. Peter (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald).

“A quick street renovation is a requirement of reason. It is wiser to fix small holes as early as possible than to put the problem on the back burner, ”said Pix. “For road renovation, this means that if we renovate quickly today, we won’t have to put tax money into a much more expensive thorough renovation later on.”

The excavators and construction workers can now move on. The road corner renewal and the bridge renovation will increase traffic safety and strengthen the economic infrastructure in the district.

In the 2020 renovation program, a total of more than 320 new measures will be implemented across the country: the federal government will probably provide 425 million euros for the maintenance of federal highways, and the state will spend around 153 million euros on state roads. In addition to renewal of the pavement and noise barriers, the program also includes a climbing rehabilitation program, the upgrading of the municipal bridge and the renewal of pavements on pedestrian and cycle paths.
