According to initial findings, the animals were apparently able to leave their enclosure in Löffingen in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district due to construction work, as the Freiburg police announced. The 20 to 25 animals were in packs. Employees initially tried unsuccessfully to recapture the animals.
