FC Neuhadern is currently not allowed to play. The club hopes to be approved quickly, otherwise it could become problematic.

Munich – Shortly before the third game of the season, FC Neuhadern was banned from the current league game. The reason for this is that the club is not a member of the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV). All footballers in the Bavarian league are insured through the BLSV sports insurance. If the insurance is missing, the club is not allowed to play any competitive games. An examination showed that A total of 15 clubs are no longer members of the BLSVThe affected teams were therefore temporarily excluded from playing.

The FCN already felt the consequences last weekend: The derby against FC Wacker Munich was cancelled and will probably be counted as a defeat. A brutal setback for Neuhadern in the current district league season, and things are threatening to get even more critical.

“The players were of course totally disappointed because they were not allowed on the pitch.”

The next league game is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 14, at TSV Neuried. It is still unclear whether Neuhadern will be allowed to play. The club has now done its homework and is now hoping for quick approval. “We cannot make a firm statement about this at the moment and will have to wait and see. However, we assume that the game will take place tomorrow,” says Christos Skakas, sporting director at FC Neuhadern.

For coach Manfred Leonhart, this is not an easy situation: “My job is to work with the boys on the pitch. I can’t influence the rest. Nevertheless, it is of course brutally bitter.” After the two narrow defeats against Raisting and Bad Heilbrunn Leonhart and his team wanted to correct the false start immediately – now his team is condemned to wait. “We had higher goals for the start of the season. You can imagine what the mood is like. The players were of course totally disappointed because they weren’t allowed on the pitch.”

Three games in the next eleven days: FC Neuhadern hopes for a quick decision

Leonhart kam in autumn 2023 from TSV 1860 Munich to FC Neuhadern and actually had bigger plans for this season. “Let’s wait and see how long this takes. But if we don’t play this week, we don’t need to talk about wanting to be up there.”

If Neuhadern does not receive approval from the association by August 24th, they could even be relegated. If a club does not compete four times in a season, they are eliminated from the league. After the game against Neuried, Hadern will host SV Waldperlach on Sunday. The following week, they will play away at ASV Habach. (btfm)
