On Saturday, December 17, 2022, at around 3:10 pm, a witness noticed the driver of a van driving conspicuously: he sometimes drove in a zig-zag and probably also entered the oncoming lane.

The search for the vehicle led the carabinieri to the forecourt of a parcel delivery company after comparing the transmitted license plate number.

The 37-year-old driver of the van could therefore be subjected to a check. One was clearly intoxicated with over 3.1 per thousand.

The driver is now expected to be charged for drink driving and has allegedly had his license revoked: a blood sample was taken.

Police are now looking for witnesses or potential victims.
