A striking detail is that he already has a criminal record with some property crimes, but they are more than twenty years old. “If I am convicted now I will lose everything I have built up.”

He wants to do everything he can to avoid getting a new conviction. Yet he cannot escape that if it is up to the justice department: he was demanded eighty hours of community service and a fine of 200 euros this morning. The other suspect was given a more severe sentence: a conditional prison sentence of two weeks and a fine of 250 euros.
