The Murcian field works at full speed to meet the increase in orders that have occurred from autonomous communities where the spread of the coronavirus has led the population to collect food, especially Madrid.
Juan Marín, president of Proexport, the Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruit and Vegetables of Murcia, told us, saying that some of his clients have doubled the number of orders in the last 48 hours.
Despite this, he believes that there is no risk of shortages but that the images of supermarkets with empty fruit and vegetable shelves have been due to a first reaction from the population being served.
Meanwhile, the president of Proexport points out that relations with the rest of European markets are working normally.
