This year, the competition for dairy products produced in Latvia took place in the following categories: “Skimmed milk curd with fat content up to 0.5%”, “2019/2020. new dairy product of 2019 ”and“ 2019/2020 packaging of the new milk product of the year 2006 ’.

Curd with a fat content of up to 0.5% in the category awarded 1st place and the Riga Food 2020 gold medal was awarded PKS “Straupe” for skimmed milk cheese with a fat content of up to 0.5% (master Gunta Tetere); 2nd place and the Riga Food 2020 silver medal was awarded FOOD UNION (JSC “Valmieras piens”) for skimmed milk curd ‘Valmiera’ with a fat content of up to 0,5% (master Aina Birnbauma); 3rd place and “Riga Food 2020” won a bronze medal JSC “Limbažu cheese” produced skimmed milk curd with a fat content of up to 0.5% (master Dace Rostock).
Winners of the awarded places 2019/2020. in the new product group “Serums”: 1st place and the Riga Food 2020 gold medal was awarded JSC “Smiltenes piens” for the manufactured cheese “Smiltene” (master Vita Puriņa); 2nd place and the Riga Food 2020 silver medal was awarded JSC “Latgales piens” for the produced fresh cheese “Panīrs” (master Julia Ostapko); 3rd place and “Riga Food 2020” won a bronze medal SIA “Malevss” produced fresh cheese “SierŠtelle” with hemp (master Solvita Roziņa).
Winners of the awarded places 2019/2020. in the new product group “Sour milk products”: 1st place and the Riga Food 2020 gold medal was awarded FOOD UNION (JSC “Rīgas piena kombināts”) manufacturer “Lakto. Rhubarb, gooseberry ”(master Viktor Biziks); 2nd place and the Riga Food 2020 sub-medal was awarded JSC “Tukuma piens” Turkish Yogurt. Mango ”(technologist Sandra Firleja); 3rd place and “Riga Food 2020” won a bronze medal JSC “Smiltenes piens” produced kefir with black plums and bran (master Vita Puriņa).
Winners of the awarded places 2019/2020. in the new product group “Sweet curd products”: 1st place and the Riga Food 2020 gold medal was awarded JSC “Smiltenes piens” for the produced cottage cheese cake with orange jam (master Vita Puriņa); 2nd place and the Riga Food 2020 silver medal was awarded JSC “Limbažu cheese” for the produced cottage cheese mass with cranberries (master Dace Rostoka); 3rd place and “Riga Food 2020” won a bronze medal JSC “Tukuma piens” glazed cottage cheese with oats, linseed, hemp, quinoa and china (technologist Vita Poškus).
Winners of the awarded places 2019/2020. in the new product group “Ice cream”: 1st place and the Riga Food 2020 gold medal was awarded SIA “Rūjienas saldējums” for the produced chocolate ice cream with the addition of lingonberry in a chocolate waffle cone (master Sanda Gūte); 2nd place and the Riga Food 2020 silver medal was awarded SIA “Tērvete Food” manufactured passion fruit ice cream in white chocolate glaze (master Sanita Vaičkus); 3rd place and “Riga Food 2020” won a bronze medal SIA “Rāmkalni Nordeco” produced fetaki cheese house ice cream (master Gundega Rūnika).
Winners of the awarded places 2019/2020. of the new dairy product packaging competition: 1st place and the Riga Food 2020 gold medal was awarded JSC “Tukuma piens” for the packaging of the sour milk drink “Turku Ayran” (500 g) and “Turkish yogurt. Mango ”(300 g) for packaging; 2nd place and the Riga Food 2020 silver medal was awarded JSC “Smiltenes piens” Sandwich curd cakes with orange jam, blueberry jam and sea buckthorn jam (3 types) (110 g) for packaging; 3rd place and “Riga Food 2020” won a bronze medal FOOD UNION (JSC “Rīgas piena kombināts”) drinking yogurt “Valmiera. Blueberry-lavender ”(290 g) packaging.
