Distributed in Lidl branches: Food warning for Brie cheese

The consumer portal for food warning has warned against eating a Brie cheese from Jermi Käsewerk in Laupheim. The portal reported that vero-toxin-forming E. coli bacteria had been detected in the cheese distributed by the supermarket chain Lidl.

Accordingly, the “Brie de Nangis, French soft cheese made with raw milk, approx. 100g” with the best-before date of 19 and 20 January and lot numbers L29 513 and L29 514 are affected.

The manufacturer has already recalled the products. Vero toxin-forming E. coli bacteria can cause diarrhea.
