Commercial law firms. After around two and a half years as an associate, David Kohl is now a lawyer in the Insolvency & Restructuring team at CMS Vienna.
Kohl works in corporate law / M & A and in the area of insolvency & restructuring, with a focus on distressed M&A transactions. “Of course, legal advice is currently a very popular topic in the crisis and we are very pleased to have David Kohl still on the team,” says Günther Hanslik, partner at CMS. He will also be jointly responsible for expanding the Insolvency Law & Restructuring practice group, said CMS partner Clemens Grossmayer.
Energy law is also one of Kohl’s main fields of activity. He is an active member of the CMS Sector Group, has supported clients such as Green Source, Encavis or ADX Energy in large projects in this area and will also continue to promote advice in the energy sector.
Training
David Kohl holds a law degree from the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and an economics degree from King’s College London and is a specialist author and lecturer. His professional positions include a Big Four auditing and tax consultancy firm as well as law firms.
