Once again there were significant speed violations in the city of Salzburg. The police stopped several speeders on Friday evening, the excuses were resourceful.
A driver of a car driving a powerful electric car was measured on the Alpenstraße in the direction of travel out of town at 124 km / h by means of a laser measuring device, disregarding the local speed limit of 70 km / h in the urban area (open country). The police were able to stop the speeder in the Auwaldstraße. The 19-year-old driver from Salzburg also had an explanation ready for the speeding violation: He stated that he was a bit distracted and in thoughts due to a previous relationship dispute.
Distracted by loud music
Another driver of a car drove on the alpine road in the direction of travel out of town at 141 km / h (measured with a laser measuring device) and disregarded the local speed limit of 70 km / h in the urban area (open country). The handlebar could be stopped in Anif. The 44-year-old Serbian driver, who lives in Salzburg, stated that he was so distracted by the loud music in the vehicle and therefore did not pay attention to the speed.
The driver’s license was provisionally removed on the spot.
“Just wanted to test the vehicle”
The patrol crew on the Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse in the direction of travel out of town was able to pull another car driver out of traffic, which was traveling at 136 km / h at a permitted 50 km / h in the urban area (open country). The 26-year-old driver from Salzburg told the officials that he only wanted to test his vehicle. He apologized several times for his wrongdoing and admitted his mistake. The driver’s license was also provisionally removed on the spot.
Moped handlebars also stopped
Not only car drivers were in a bit of a hurry that evening, but also a young Salzburg moped driver. He rode his slightly modified motorbike on the Alpine road at 76 km / h.
Due to the significantly exceeded design speed of 45 km / h, the moped driver was forbidden to continue driving and the license plate was removed on the spot, the police reported in a broadcast.
