Distinctive Easter eggs are introduced by the famed brands Dior and Louis Vuitton

Is a Dior or Louis Vuitton handbag too expensive for you? Maybe an Easter egg or chocolate work from one of the luxurious fashion houses fits more within your budget. Because yes, they won’t let Easter go unnoticed either. With golden specks or Baileys as a filling: these are the Easter bunny’s elite eggs.

The bells are ringing, because Easter is coming. Those who now go to brunches or dinners can expect delicious chocolate eggs for dessert. We are even beaten around the ears with it in the shops. And well-known fashion houses are now also responding to this.

They have been around for 160 years, so the French Louis Vuitton has already designed quite a few creations: handbags, of course, but even bicycles or coffee cups. In recent years they have left their mark on the food industry. For example, they have LV restaurants in China, Osaka, Tokyo and, more recently, closer to home: Paris.

There the ‘LV Dream Chocolate Factory’ opened its doors in December. Fans can enjoy an exhibition about the French fashion house and then stock up on chocolate in the café. Bonbons, chocolate cakes or éclairs: all engraved with the LV logo. For the eclair you pay sixteen euros, by the way.

“I’d rather skip this $2,000 Easter egg.” And yet the brands earn well from it

The creations come from the hand of pastry chef Maxime Frédéric. He also invented the famous Easter eggs. These are available in limited edition, with gianduja fillings or caramel. Sounds chic! If you want to know the price tag, you will have to go to Paris, because LV does not let you look at its cards online. Although there are reactions on the social network Instagram such as: “I’d rather skip this $ 2,000 Easter egg.”

The French Dior is also jumping on the bandwagon. They also have a café and restaurant in the heart of Paris. Although they don’t make Easter eggs, they do make iconic silhouettes in chocolate. For Christmas they did the same, in gingerbread. On Avenue Montaigne you can admire their chocolate works.

Then there is Bulgari, who also offer their famous chocolate egg in Paris. The luxurious boutique hotel does this every year, and also in Milan and London, among others.

“Luxury brands want to design for your entire home, not just for your wardrobe but also for your kitchen and interior,” says fashion editor David Devriendt. “Such actions are good for the company. At the LV pastry shop in Paris, people are lining up for those chocolates. This way they can still afford a piece of luxury, because it is of course less expensive than a handbag.”

If you want to keep things simple, you might want to stock up on chocolate truffles this year. That also sounds chic, right? Otherwise you will indulge yourself with these original and luxurious Easter eggs.
