A few days ago, the first session of our 49th Congress took place, where we adopted important program documents outlining the political line of behavior that our party will follow in the coming years.
Our main task will continue to be the establishment of the BSP as a consistent socialist party, as the main center for left-wing politics and an alternative to the status quo. An honest distinction from this status quo is the stake for our political future.
I want to thank everyone who supported me ideologically and selflessly; to all who chose to stay true to their principles and were not tempted by material things. I have always taken this as personal support as well, but above all, as support for the policy and the direction we were going together. This is the direction in people’s interest. This should be the direction of any true left-wing, socialist party.
We also elected a new chairman, who will implement our program documents with specific content. I want to wish others Ninova, many successes and courage to continue with the implementation of policies that restore people’s trust! To continue to protect the party from becoming a pledge of personal ambitions! To do everything with people in mind! This is her greatest responsibility to our 125-year-old party, to Bulgaria, to the people.
