Geoff Keighley still faces disruptive factors at Gamescom. During the 2022 Game Awards, Matan Even, known as “Bill Clinton’s Kid”, took the stage alongside developers FromSoftware and accepted the Game of the Year award for Elden Ring. At the end of his speech, Even dedicated the award to the 42nd US President, Bill Clinton.

Tribute to Bill Clinton
Today, less-cautious spoilers pay tribute to Bill Clinton at the Gamescom opening event in Cologne. Two people took the stage to pause the live stream and tell everyone that “Bill Clinton wants to play GTA 6”.
Still, Geoff Keighley didn’t seem bothered and continued with the show. “It’s so disappointing. This evening is something very special for many developers. It’s really sad to see someone behaving like that. It really saddens me to see something like this happen,” Keighley said.
The disruptors
Not much is known about the troublemakers, other than that they paid tribute to Bill Clinton. The real prankster Matan Even is known for his antics. He’s a 15-year-old Tiktok star who often performs at places where famous people go, which has brought him notoriety.
Gamescom continues its live stream, revealing release dates, gameplay and other information on upcoming games. Highlights include the new Sonic Frontiers DLC, Tekken 8 release date of January 2024 and tons of gameplay footage from Modern Warfare 3, a short Starfield Q&A with Bethesda’s Todd Howard, and several new independent titles.
