The systems behind the coronatest.nl site had a very difficult time today. Many visitors wanted to make a test appointment at the same time, while few time slots were available. At any given time, about 4,000 people were logged in at once.
Three options
Each visitor is offered three test options, which are temporarily reserved. This means that 12,000 places on the agenda appear to be occupied, while 8,000 of those 12,000 time slots become available over time once the visitors have made an appointment. There are not many open spaces left in the test schedule, which means that people may not be offered an appointment when they are looking for a test location.

The system behind the site will be adjusted in the course of the evening. As a result, more time slots are available online. In addition, unused reservations are released to others earlier.
Remember
The GGDs are currently testing more than 90,000 people a day. Those are record numbers, and it is the maximum capacity that the test lanes have. The health services want to expand to 120,000 tests per day, but then enough test staff must be available.
