The situation is complicated this Friday morning on the TER network in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Rhône and Loire, two departments of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, were placed on orange alert this Friday for violent winds by Météo France. Gusts exceeded 100 km/h overnight and peak intensity is expected in the middle of the day.

Particular weather conditions which disrupted the TER network in the region this Friday morning. South of Lyon, train traffic was interrupted between Givors and Lyon because of a tree that fell on the tracks at Vernaison.
🔴 6:28 a.m.: traffic is very disrupted between Grenoble and Chambéry in both directions due to a tree that fell on the tracks in Pontcharra causing a power outage.

Another incident of this type took place at Le Méridien, leading to a power outage and disrupting traffic between Sain Bel and Lyon Saint Paul. Finally, traffic is currently interrupted in the Lyon – Grenoble direction due to “of a floating tarpaulin reported on the electrical installations towards Saint-Priest“.

Although traffic has resumed in the Loire at Saint Chamond, it remains generally very disrupted in the region because of the wind.
