The outage at Facebook is over, the company reports. At the beginning of the evening, many tens of thousands of reports were received on outage websites in a number of countries in a short period of time. WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram were hardly accessible for many.
According to Facebook, there was a technical problem that made it impossible for many users to access some Facebook services. “We have resolved this issue for everyone and we apologize for the inconvenience.”
Shortly after 6 pm, the malfunction was first reported by Dutch users via Allestoringen.nl. The site Downdetector.com showed that the number of failure reports on Instagram exceeded the million.
