Darmstadt (ots) – A man whose identity has not yet been finally clarified will have to answer after his arrest on Thursday (14 May), among other things, because of the resistance against police officers. The unknown man has been in police custody since early morning.
The accused and his 20-year-old companion from Gießen had got on a bus at the castle shortly before 2 a.m. There they had behaved conspicuously aggressively, presumably due to their heavy alcoholization, and also refused to wear mouth and nose protection. After the bus driver addressed him and asked him to remain calm, the accused went completely nuts and started on the driver. Here he hit the 44-year-old in the face several times and injured him slightly. Fortunately, the attack was observed by witnesses who responded in a logical manner and immediately alerted the police.
Even after several strips arrived, the man did not give up his behavior and also offered the greatest resistance when he was arrested. He kept kicking, punching and spitting at the officials, slightly injuring two law enforcement officers. After the freak was finally overwhelmed, he and his companion were brought to the guard.
A complaint was filed there and a blood sample was taken. The accused was detained while his companion was released after the measures were completed. Investigations into his identity and the cause of his behavior are still ongoing.
