In an effort to address the situation, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz and families of the hostages in Gaza met with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani to seek support in persuading the Lebanese government to withdraw Hezbollah from southern Lebanon. Katz warned that Lebanon would suffer irreversible consequences if Hezbollah remains in the region.
