The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Hani Joukhadar, announced that wearing masks will be dispensed with if 60 to 70% of Saudi citizens and residents in the Kingdom are vaccinated with the new Corona virus vaccine, stressing the importance of masks at the present time.
“Joukhadar”, in an interview with the “Al-Rased” program broadcast on the “Al-Akhbariya” channel today, Thursday, indicated that the Corona vaccine will continue to be given to citizens and residents for the next eight months.
It is worth noting that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia began today, Thursday, the vaccination campaign with the Corona vaccine, after receiving the first two shipments of the “Pfizer” vaccine yesterday, Wednesday, and the Ministry of Health began giving the vaccine at the Vaccination Center in Riyadh, to the elderly and people with chronic diseases, in addition to workers in the health sector.
And the Saudi Health Ministry announced, earlier, the start of registration for Saudi citizens and residents to receive the vaccine, through the link of the “My Health” application that it published on its website.
